About Us
John went to Newman College and grew up in the northern suburbs of Perth. He initially completed a medical science degree at Curtin University.
After experiencing the benefits of chiropractic treatment for a neck and back injury, he decided to move to Melbourne for 5 years of study Chiropractic at Royal Melbourne Institiute of Technology.
Having met Michelle at university, together they started a chiropractic practice on the beautiful south coast of WA whilst parenting 3 children (currently aged 23,20,18). They spent 20 years in Albany involved in various community groups including surf club, St Johns Ambulance, Albany Boardriders, Denmark Enduro Club, Albany Mountain Bike Club, Albany Junior Soccer and school councils. They decided in 2017 to relocate to Perth for family commitments.
Together they have treated over 13, 000 different people from all ages (babies to 96 years old), and all backgrounds and conditions including elite athletes.
John enjoys seeing people of all ages and has a special interest in soft tissue injuries such as shoulder pain, tennis elbow, knee and sprained ankle injuries. Besides his professional passion, he loves to travel with his family, stay upright on his surfboard and ride his mountain bike.
Michelle was brought up in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. On a solo motorbike trip around Australia she decided to follow the footsteps of her father, Robin Birchall, and become a Chiropractor.
Having grown up with the benefits of chiropractic, she is grateful to have received chiropractic treatment for the many crashes throughout her action packed life.
Michelle is currently not practicing, however, she remains the practice manager.
You may see John and Michelle in Carine, Duncraig, Marmion, North Beach or Hillarys on their daily walk with their rough collie Macy.
